Majestetisk opplevelse♥Fint!
Resyme; This is some Sneak Peak photoes of Winther Wonderland that soon will come with Santa Claus Present!Hope i have been a good girl♥ Thanx for watching and may you have a beautiful time♥
The tour between Mount Ulriken and Mount Fløyen is one of the most popular tours in Bergen. You can start and end your trip by taking Ulriken Cable Car or Fløibanen funicular. Between these two beautiful mountains you can see the fjords and islands around Bergen. On a clear day you can enjoy the view to Folgefonna glacier.
If you want to walk up Mount Ulriken, you can take bus nr 12 to Montana. Follow the signs to Montana Youth Hostel. Turn right just before the hostel and across the parking place you will see the gravel road which is the start point. Follow the road for about 10 minutes. At the end you will have several options up to Ulriken. The quickest (and steepest) is to follow the signs "Ulriken opp". This is the most popular track. If you want a longer and more gentle climb, keep right after about 10 minutes after the gravel road is finished. (Towards Nattlandsfjellet og Sedalen).
Alternatively you can take any buss which goes to the hospital. From the hospital it is a 10 minute walk up to Ulriken Cable car. From there you can take the Cable car to the top or walk “underneath” it. The track starts just to the right of the entrance and will meet up with the track from Montana after about 20 minutes.
The hike across Vidden is well marked and has plenty of cairns to follow. The last 1-1,5 hours is on gravel road coming up to Mount Rundemann. From there you will start seeing the view of the city.
15 minutes before Mount Fløyen you can stop at Brushytten and enjoy a Norwegian waffle. Open every Sunday between 11-16 the whole year.
Camping and swimming: Camping is allowed for up to 2 days in the city mountains. Exceptions around Fløyen and in areas close to drinking waters or waters supplying, adjoining or close to the drinking waters. Swimming is permitted in any water that is not drinking water or within the catchment for drinking waters.
Height difference: 20-662 meters Estimated time: 5 hours Length: 15 km Starting point: Mount Fløyen or Mount Ulriken
A little tour around the Westcoast Mountains of Bergen Norway
I started from Fløybanen and went quickly up at the top of Rundemannen
The trip across the plateau is one of the most famous tours of the city mountains surrounding Bergen. Here is real mountain at all times of the year, easily accessible from both the Fløyen and Ulriken. Allow plenty of time to enjoy the scenery and great views. The ride is excellent for skiing when there is snow.Nice for kids too:))
It is important to have good shoes and that you dress for the weather. Remember that it can change quickly, especially in height. Bring water and something to eat.And your mobile. If you get lost, or come into bad weather, there is help boxes around the track with sheets and shelther.
Here you can see Mount Ulriken in the distance
"Varder" and beautiful scenery is all around.
Also little huts if you look closer to the mountains
When i came up it was a very blowing wind.I had only jogging clothes on and that was pretty cold.I recomand scarf, gloves, good shoes and warm clothing to all of you going here at this time. The winther is on its way.
I seeked shelter in this old cabin. Here there was a lighter,a traveling book, and I could drink my coffe and eat a sandwitch.Without beeing blown away.
The view inside from the stone cabin
I also tried to shoot a picture of myself heheheh. Not very good but allright, its me up here:)
The way down towards Eidsvåghytten and Tarlebø
I feel soo HAPPY up here!
Fresh air and its a WONDERFUL VIEW:))
The view to Eidsvåg and Åsane
Starting down to Tarlebøwater.
Some of the landscape surrounding Bergen with its fjords
A forgotten hut.
Old burned tree.I could see the tracks of many deers just around here.May be they seeked shelter from the rain and wind
Here there is many little good trouts or Røyr as we call it.Before We used to fish the old way here-Very nice to lit a little firecamp and grill some fish and eat it right away. Now I think its forbidden to do that.
Tarlebøwater.Bergens drinking water.I have also been here in a snowstorm, that came suddenly. That was a very" tøff" trip! Each year there is always someone that gets lost up here. We use much money and rescue help to get them down
Small fine rivers with fresh water to wash the face with:))
The journey down to Icewalley has begun
Because of bad clothing I skipped the tour over the Vidden to Mount Ulriken. That i will do next time.If someone wants to join ,contact me.
More vegitation is showing up and the autumm is soon letting us see all the nice colours. But what i think is that winther will come soon.Perhaps sooner then we think. Its already a little frost on the grass but the temparature holds 12 degrees during the day.
This is the last photo from Icewally(common called Deathwalley)The valley is from the Icetime. The walk is varied and exciting .You can go here from taking the bus from the town and go direcktly in to it.It is a wild and wonderful place. Something a mountain man would hardly believe this existed just outside the door. From Svartediket it goes quickly upward from magical spruce, through scrub and deciduous forests, before getting into the high mountain plateau.
So as you see there is many ways to go high up to the BERGENSKE HØYFJELL!
Men husk på.ALLTID..Været kan fort forandre seg der oppe så sjekk værmelding før man drar og ha alltid med kart og kompass og mobil.
Tusen takk for dere som stikker innom her.Fortsettelse følger!
